Sharm el Sheikh Nightlife

Talk of the Red Sea conjures images of sunny beaches, crystal clear seas, and fascinating sandy dunes. Yet Sharm el Sheikh provides other unusual and perhaps unexpected attractions such as the lively and vibrant nightlife – proof that Sharm el Sheikh continues to expand and diversify, and attracting younger crowds.

Naama Bay is the heart of modern Sharm, pulsating with clubs, hotels and shops. A wide range of bars and restaurants, the majority of which are international, can satisfy the most modest to the most sophisticated, while the clubs, pubs and casinos, all provide other possibilities to party the night away. The pubs and clubs of Naama Bay, host frequent renowned DJs, live music and concerts, offering a fantastic mix of evening entertainment.

The nightlife in Sharm el Sheikh is a growing area, with some of the clubs and bars staying open until dawn, attracting the diehard clubbers and party-goers, whilst some open in the afternoon, attracting the divers after their morning outings.

Favourite spots include Pacha, which is the premier nightclub in Egypt, providing a swimming pool, bar, dance floor, VIP room, DJ, and foam party events. Pasha is located in the Sanafir Hotel in Naama Bay, and has the capacity to hold 3000 party-goers until dawn. There is even a party boat available in the summer!

The other favourite is the ‘Camel Bar and Roof, which has attracted divers, residents and tourists for over 10 years, providing a great place to sit back and relax, or meet other like minded people. The Camel Bar provides all major live sports on 4 large screens, and hosts frequent live entertainment and themed parties.

If you want to party the night away then Naama Bay is definitely your best bet, although El Fanar Street, located in Ras Um Sid, now has its own clubs and bars, and a beach party every Wednesday.
The newly built Soho Square at White Knight beach also offers a host of evening entertainment, including bowling, ice skating, pubs, and clubs.

Naama Bay is definitely best visited at night, providing a wonderful, and sometimes, chaotic experience. The salesmen try their best to attract you into their restaurants, bars and shops, but a simple no usually suffices. Expect to hear the well known phrases ‘Cheap as Chips’ and ‘Lovely Jubbly’, which all shop owners seem to love.

Naama Bay is definitely not authentic though, with its American fast food restaurants, including TGI Fridays, Hard Rock Café, Pizza hut, and more, so don’t expect see the traditional Egyptian way of life here!
