This is the original town of Sharm El Sheikh, where the main port and marina are located, providing easy access to organised diving and fishing trips. The old town offers a wonderful market area where you can barter for those holiday bargains, and is generally cheaper than Naama Bay.
The area provides a number of restaurants, bars and entertainment, however it’s fairly low key compared to the bigger resort areas, with the majority of hotels and tourist attractions located at Naama Bay, which is about a 15 minute drive away.
